We want to help each and every one of our students reach their fullest potential. All ages, all abilities, all are welcome to train at Brooklin Martial Arts. All students are treated equitably and is never compared to anyone else. A Martial Arts journey is about personal development and progress. This makes us a team of individuals with the same goal of bettering ourselves. We are all on a quest to be our best! Our community of fellow students, families, and instructors is here to support and guide you on your Martial Arts journey.
Our training is not just on the Dojang floor. The lessons learned on your martial journey should extend to all aspects of life: at home, at school, at work, everywhere we go. The self-discipline developed through consistent training, goal setting and personal victories also fosters lifestyle habits that will help set one up for success.

Why Martial Arts?
Martial Arts training at Brooklin Martial Arts is much more than kicking and punching. We help our students strive for personal excellence by challenging them to be the best they can be.
At the core Brooklin Martial Arts is a character development program, Our Martial Arts training is how instil positive values. Overtime with consistent practice participants will build: self-discipline, confidence, focus, positive-character and leadership skills. We do this while providing a positive physical outlet that helps build healthy bodies and minds.
Students will also learn valuable self-defence and safety skills so they are ready to face the world confident, focused and prepared.
What age should my child be to start Martial Arts?
We offer programs for all ages starting at 4 years old. Our Brooklin Buddies program is designed specifically for ages 4–7, Youth classes serve kids 8 and up, and we have Teen/Adult classes for ages 14 and older. We also offer Family Classes where parents and children can train together.
The Brooklin Martial Arts Program is overseen by a registered Early Childhood Educator. Our programs are built to be age appropriate, structured and supportivie to ensure every child thrives on and off the training floor.
Do I need prior martial arts experience to join?
No experience is necessary. Whether you're brand new or returning after time away, our instructors will guide every student at their own level in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Our team of coaches and rolemodels are ready to support you, you'll belong from day one.
How often should my child attend classes?
We recommend consistent attendance to see steady progress. Most students benefit from training 2–3 times per week. Our instructors will provide guidance on frequency as your child progresses through belt levels.
How do we get started?
The first step is the most important, but can be the hardest to take. We will make sure you are fully supported as you take that first big step on your Martial Arts journey.
At Brooklin Martial Arts we offer one free intro private lesson to help you get started. One of our expert coaches will guide you through a personalized lesson that will show you the ropes and get you excited about Martial Arts training.
You will get the chance to tour our brand new facility, set personal goals and learn the basics so you feel confident joining our group classes.

What makes the Family Class different from regular classes?
The Family Class is specially designed for parents and children to train together on the same mat. You'll do partner drills and team activities that build martial arts skills while creating shared experiences and strengthening family bonds. No prior experience needed.
